How effective is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Randomised controlled trials support the use of various relaxation techniques for treating both acute and chronic pain. A systematic review has found that hypnosis enhances the effects of CBT for conditions such as phobia, anxiety, obesity, depression and anxiety. Hypnosis and a regular practice of self-hypnosis may significantly reduce general anxiety, tension and stress ( the Professional Affairs Board of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

All sessions take approximately 50 minutes.
The usual 24 hours cancellation policy applies to all appointments, therefore you are liable for the full cost of the session in case of a missed appointment. However, personal tragedy is the only exception when this policy won’t be applied.
Effectiveness of the therapy doesn’t only depend on the number of sessions, but also on your commitment to practice learnt CBT or/and Hypnotherapy techniques between the sessions. They need to be practiced on regular basis to make desired difference. That said, most of my clients begin to notice changes towards their ultimate therapy goal within 4 to 8 sessions, but this largely depends on the severity of their problems.
